Two trainee army officers and their female friends were assaulted and robbed in the Jam Gate area of Mhow early on Wednesday morning. Confirming the incident, police said that ten teams have been formed for the arrest of the accused. Reports appearing late on Wednesday suggested that the females may have wlso been sexually assaulted by the perpetrators. "While the lady has not yet recorded her statements with the police, one of the officers has expressed suspicions of sexual assault," informed Mhow SP, Hitika Vasal. Two suspects have been rounded up in connection with the incident. The incident took place at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday when the army officers and their lady friends were sitting in a parked vehicle in the area. Police said that investigations were continuing and expressed optimism of the early arrest of the accused.
